December Breeze

Walking home from work after the shuttle dropped us on the toll exit
of Bicutan, i felt somethings different, the air is colder! *masarap
sanang langhapin kaso wag na lang dahil sa polusyon* medyo
delayed na yata kung ngayun ko lang napansin yung cool
breeze...

Anyhow, 15 days till Christmas, The Christmas Tree is up and hinde
pa kame nagbubunutan dito sa bahay kung sino ang monito monita namen.

Makapag create na nga ng wishlist :D
*para hinde nakayu mag iisip kung anong ireregalo nyo saken hahaha :D*

The Payong Payong Point and Lian shoreline Experience

Since I'm still having hangovers of the CL 7.0 adrenaline rush,
no other topic comes into mind other than the things that happened
Lian :D

Early morning of the first day, got to meet personally new found
friends *dahil kinapalan ko na lang ang mukha ko para maka carpool :D*
Che, the one Jay informed me to contact for the carpool (salamat
nga pala ulet Jay!) and her sister Anna, a Chicago based free lancer
who is savoring her last weeks of vacation here in Pinas by having
a series of photography seminars :D.

As expected, the travel time of 3 hours to Lian (appox 100 km from
Paranaque ) was enough for a short breakfast along the way + some
stop overs to keep our bladders from bursting. We made it just in
time :D

During the lecture, Sir Jerry Tieng arrived, surprisingly he was
also a participant of the workshop. I acquired my D80 + accessories
thru his online site :D *discount naman dyan....*

By past 3 pm, we are preparing to go to the site where we would apply
what Jay and Edwin discussed during the lectures. Going to Payong
Payong point we have taken a short ride by car, a short boat ride
plus a lot of rock trekking :D.

But the part where the adrenalin rush came in was when the sun was
setting, it was setting so fast, i haven’t yet found any foreground
for my composition yet, to make it worst, it was high tide! waist
deep!, *knee deep lang sa ibang participants hahaha *my camera
backpack's bottom part was wet due to the incoming little waves,
in a nutshell... i did not get a decent shot of the sun setting,
but, its alright, babawi ako ulet sa payong payong point.

going home.. at the resort, dinner was served! plus a short briefing
and a lecture was held before we hit the sack,

woke up before 5 am, as i had only 4 hours of sleep dahil sinumpung
ako ng allergic rhinithis ko! *dapat nakapag dala ako ng vicks para
ipahid malapit sa butas ng ilong ko, hehehe*. Anyhow, exited to
catch the sunrise, to try my luck on getting a decent shot in the
morning, the location was the shoreline, a short walk across the
shoreline, so when we got there, Edwin gave us some tips on proper
use of the filters, then shooting galore! then after the shoreline
shot, post processing time!

The workshop as great, it exceeded my expectations, i thought it
will just be a simple workshop on how to compose and use filters.
Experiencing first hand on how to find the perfect moment, finding
the right timing, finding the fine light, exploring, made the real
difference. Plus the use of PFE also made a difference :D

*two thumbs up isasama ko na yung thumbs sa paa ko 4 thumbs up na :D*

Kita Kits sa next shoot!

a story of last weeks

this is a story of last weeks...

Its my last week at work there in ST-Ericsson Calamba and will be
venturing to a new envirONment starting Monday next week. Kind of
sad in a way to think that you will leave your everyday pals during
lunch, mga kabiruan during breaks and mga kakwetuhan when the
office hours stops during my two and a half year stint there in a
group that for me, I call the most elite group of test and product
engineers I've collaborated in that plant. But for me, i don't
think its goodbye, because, as I see it, it's a new chapter, just
a simple change, i just changed place of work, but I didn't replace
old friends with new ones. But will surely miss the kulitan
everyday... yun lang... :-( , well, there's still the vacation days
that i can jump in their bandwagon and see them again, hehehe

also, another story is that it's the last day on earth of my
previous Boss, Ken Vest (in Amkor) this week. We have been so
shocked by the fact that he's still young and died of an heart
ailment. The most Technical Boss we've had and our hats off for
him as we learned a lot of things that has helped us on our
careers. Salut!

100 km point...... roughly :D

Well what do you know, I’ve made it! Roughly… it think. If my
estimation is correct, tallying since 10 months ago up to now, I’ve
walked, jogged, run roughly 100 Km!!!!!! Wohooooooo. Wikimapia is
dead accurate on its distance calculation when I compared it to our
cars odometer, it could have +/- 5% discrepancy but it’s still small,
of course, satellite images cannot really calculate distances created
by uphill and downhill because it sees the earth’s surface as a flat
picture, never the less, its one cool and accurate tool.

Weekly I try to jog/run/walk around the “track” at least 8 times, 10
to be the max, never would have thought it will accumulate to 100 km
in 10 months, hehehehe

Now, my aim is to run a 5K @ 30 mins or less or Run a 5K without
walking :D

Must have time to practice those drills….. :D

Have a safe and fun run
