First time kong mag bisita iglesia sa buong 25 years of my
existence.. my impression on it a few years back is that... mag-
rerecite ka ng napakahabang prayer with matching songs plus in
multiple churches or either aakyat ka ng bundok na may stations
of the cross....
Anyhow... the other day nag-aya sina Tyrelle ng Visita Iglesia,
and seeing the fact that hinde ko pa nasusubukan to visit several
churches in a day... I was inclined to try it...
We started with four in the group in Magallenes StarBuko... Me,
Tyrelle, Ann and Tina then later Angel joined while we were having
lunch at Teriyaki boy in Buendia...
The experience was ok.. having to see those churches.... and
if youre asking was it tiring? .... a little ..., but having a
nonstop DJ on board and a Wowowee celebrity (Ate wowowee,
naks... the fans, hahaha) an automatic navigator (that agrues
with you) in the car and throwing jokes on the way to the next
church, having to have seven wishes and for your seventh wish
you wish for seven more additional wishes.. hehehe.. what else can
you ask for in a summer holy week trip... it was fun =)
List of churches we visited... (hopefully I enumerated them correctly)
1. National Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Doctor of the
Church (near Villamor Airbase) *watta long name...*
2. The Shrine of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life
(near Mall of Asia)
3. St. Claire Parish Church near Ateneo (QC?)
4. Edsa Shrine (In EDSA, syempre...) *HOT HOT HEAT!!!!!*
5. Malate Church (In Malate...)
6. Manila Cathedral (Intramuros, Manila)
7. San Agustin Church (Intramuros, Manila)
(this is one cool piece of history)
8. St. Jude's Church (near Malacanang Palace)
Why 8 churches? because we did not get a chance to do the station
of the cross in Malate Church because of some minor drawbacks on
the church's schedule...
Actually it was 9 but we did not get in that Magallanes church..
we were assuming its one of those places that were visited during
Holy Weeks, but it was closed.. *I guess It's not a Catholic Church...
please correct me if I'm wrong =)*
After we finished the 7 churches... *YEY!!! * we ate dinner /
merienda at Jollibee in in Blue Wave Macapagal plus some chit chats
and went home.
It was one cool trip on a summer HolYday...
For pictures of the trip.. you can access Tyrelle's Picasa.. if you're
permitted to access it.. because I have no pictuires to post due to
the fact that hinde na kinaya ng K800 ko, hahahaha,
*where's that camera!!!!*
Ingatz to all =)
